Tenancies

Lettings and management

Long lets only, managed by one named person for the whole term.

Marnstone lets the same houses it sells, to the same standard, on terms of twelve months or longer. We do not take holiday lets and we do not take short corporate lets.

Management is optional but most owners take it, because the point of a managed tenancy is that neither party has to chase anyone.

How it runs

Five stages, and what happens in each

  1. Rental appraisal

A realistic figure, with the difference between asking and achieved set out plainly.

  2. Preparation and compliance

Certificates, inventory and condition schedule before a single viewing.

  3. Tenant selection

Referenced, met in person, and chosen on fit as well as covenant.

  4. Tenancy

One named manager, quarterly visits, and a repairs route that does not involve a call centre.

  5. Renewal or exit

Renewal discussed at month nine; exit handled with a full schedule of condition.
